Integra Physical Therapy specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation of men and women. Pelvic floor rehabilitation is a term that describes an approach to improving the strength and function of muscles that support the pelvic organs, assist in bowel and bladder control, and contribute to sexual intimacy. Pelvic floor dysfunctions occur when the muscles become weak, tight, or damaged. These conditions may be due to pregnancy or childbirth, insidious onset, infections, poor posture from chronic low back or SI dysfunction, trauma, or even the result of surgery.
